Floral Party/Farmer's Market

This morning some friends and I set out to have a picnic and make wildflower bouquets.

It was the perfect day.  Here's how it went!

Step one: visit farmer's market to check things out and buy a few focal flowers.

Hand-picked berries.

Handmade leather belts.

Canning.

Such beautiful friends!  We mostly bought these purple "Globe Thistles" for our bouquets.

Afterward, we went to a nearby park by the Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba to have a picnic and make some bouquets.

Some of our raw materials, picked from some railway tracks just inside town.

I spent a lot of time on my other bouquet, and this was was just a bunch of leaves and a broken flower
plopped in a jar.  But it still has lots of charm.

The river reminds me of a Dutch landscape painting from the 1600's.

Learning more about cameras.
