Things to Find/Do this Summer

I am going on a personal scavenger hunt this summer.  I find that I need to make concrete goals to do things, or else they won't get done.  If I tell myself, "I'm going to have fun this summer" but don't ask myself "How?" then I won't end up doing anything.  I'll probably just watch a lot of reruns of Modern Family.  Which is cool too.  But not what I want.

So, here is my list of experiences to scavenge this summer.  If they don't all happen, that's okay.  But some of them better!

1. Find a campfire.  Find as many as possible.  Maybe even with cowboys.

2. Find a hot tub outside.  At least once.
3. Go to the beach.  Eat chicken on it.  Like I did when I was a kid.  With my friends.
4. Take cheesy couples photos with my husband.  Because I can.  And should.

For our wedding photos, my husband and I took a bunch of photos of us in our wedding garb doing ordinary things like grocery shopping and running out of gas on the highway.  Time to start a tradition of doing this every year!
Our Christmas card picture from 2012.
5. Have boat races with my friends.  Little homemade boats.  Down the river.
6. Attend a friend's wedding.

Of course, I have an invitation.  I'm not crashing any parties for the sake of a to-do list.
7. Go golfing.

I'm horrible at sports.  But my dad runs a golf course.  And you can drink while you play!
8. Organize a fancy party with my friends.  Complete with an outdoor movie!
From a party I helped to organize last summer.  The movie was projected onto the white sheet!
9. Have a picnic in a park.
10. Make stuff for a craft sale.  Here I am at the last one I did with my friends.

Pretty good list, hey?  I am going to try and do one thing every weekend.  You should make your own fun summer list, too!
