Sarah Richardson is an interior designer whose television shows can be found on HGTV. She has had several different shows over the years, but her current project is Sarah 101. I don't always love her style, because it usually looks a bit too commercial for me, but I think she has a great personality for tv: fresh, positive, with a little edge of sarcasm. And I like watching her process throughout the different jobs she takes on.
I found a great article on her website, www.sarahrichardsondesign.com. In it she talks about building her business, and the ways that she has learned to discipline herself to get the job done. I think the advice in this article can apply to any job, not just design work. It's mostly about assertiveness.
The photos below are from Sarah's Cottage, a show that was created and aired a few years ago.
