(Indoor) Soiree!

Well, our wine and cheese party was a success!  Both the guests and the hosts had a great time.  The only hitch was that the weather was too cold and wet to have our party outdoors, but things went smoothly indoors as well, considering there were two empty rooms on the second floor of the house that we could spread out into.

As much as I always want to be the center of attention, and as an extension of that my decorating, the real star of the show was Jenn's cooking.  Among these pictures are a few decor shots, and one portrait of a beautiful girl, but mostly, these pics are for the foodies out there.

Natasha, one of our beautiful cooks/guests.

This was just the beginning of the wine.  On the cake tray are mini-cupcakes (by Jenn).

My friend Annalee letter-pressed some labels that gave suggestions for combinations of food and drinks.

Pavlova!  Crispy, sweet, creamy, I had about six.  By Jenn.

Natasha's carmelized onion Gallette in process.

One of the chalkboards Annalee lettered to direct guests to the areas of the house that were for public use.

A few vertical shots:

The bedsheets and tulips I bought being put to use.

Jenn's reupholstered burlap seats.

The tulips added a bit of colour to the scene.  The combination of white walls and floor, and the old wooden furniture, was striking.

Roasted grapes, seasoned mushrooms, roasted vegetables, and new cheese.

Another of Annalee's restaurant-worthy signs.
