Decorating on a Budget

For those of us who do not reek of cash, and have to watch our spending whilst we enjoy ourselves, there are options.  One of my favorites is the Salvation Army, a second hand store with a branch just around the corner from my apartment.

Earlier this week, I posted about the wine tasting party I am going to decorate for.  I bought these pieces of fabric at the Salvation Army for $25.  I am going to rip them into strips about 1" wide and tie them onto a twine rope to hang between some trees (see post from May 16 for a visual).  I will have a 20' fabric display piece for $25.  Try to find that at a department store!

Isn't saving money fun?  I am planning to stick to my limit of $40 from our last party.  Basically, all I am going to spend money on now is flowers, as I will use some of these sheets to cover a table with flowers in mason jars (and a few tea lights) that suit my colour scheme.  The table will be situated in front of the fabric backdrop.

Lots of pictures will ensue!
