DIY Prison Costumes

Hello,

here are some costumes I made for an upcoming kid's play about two men in prison.

1. I bought two white t-shirts from the Bargain Shop, some black electrical tape from Dollarama, and used the tape to create stripes on the shirts. 

2. Then to make the hats, I cut out a circle of white cloth, and sewed a rectangle of fabric around it, hemming as needed of course.  I also added a chin strap made of elastic band and black vertical stripes on the sides of the hats. 

I even measured the circumference of my own head as a reference for the caps, and made them smaller depending on the age of the child who will be wearing the costume.
