Winnipeg in the summer

Look how great this is.  The Tourism Board of Winnipeg should just hire me.  I know where the good shots are, even if I take them on a camera phone.

I also noticed a strange fence today as I was walking along on Langside:

I kind of feel like this is what they were going for, which is awesome in a re-purposed, trendy-environmental kind of way:

I think that without the wood framing the corrugated steel, the fence ends up looking half-assed and like it's not going to be level at any point during its life.  Sorry guys on Langside.  Better luck next time.

Also, sorry for being so snarky today (you'll notice it in the next post).  I don't know what it is.  My parents are perfectionists about what they make (carpenter and kitchen designer) so I think I come by it honestly.  I can't help it if I just want things to look nice!
